The implementation of flooring: refer to standard NF P 61-202-1 and 2, reference DTU 52.1. It is imperative to add a drainage mat under the paving. This prevents separating from the waterproofing and allows water to flow vertically through the thickness of the mortar and the perforations, then horizontally through to the downspouts. The slope of the support is ≥ 2%. This process complies with the definition of a drainage layer in standard NF P 84-204-1-1 (reference DTU 43.1).
We strongly advise you to protect the stone (interior and exterior) with a water repellent treatment. (We offer a range of products specialized in the specific treatment of natural stone materials… colorless, with color enhancer, waxes…)
Natural stone is an excellent heat storage and dispersal material; therefore, it is perfectly suited to be used with your floor heater (adhesive and flexible seal).
Stone is a natural and unique material and can be found in a variety of colors, textures, and styles… therefore it is imperative to mix the stones during installation (even if there are several color palettes).
We recommend laying the frames with white glue, on a support with a slope of 1.5cm/meter and double gluing. Be careful when applying the Causse limestone with the white glue. A cement installation can develop stains due to the appearance of laitance.
